ARTICLES OF FAITH
1. The verbal inspiration of the Bible
(II Tim. 3:14-17; II Pet. 1:19-21; Lk. 24:44-45; Acts 18:28; Jn. 17:17).
2. One God eternally existing in three persons: namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
(Gen. 1:26; Jn. 17:21; Mt. 28:19; II Cor. 13:14; Heb. 1:1-8; Col. 2:9; Acts 5:3-4; I Jn. 5:7).
3. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father; conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary; that He is fully God who cam as the only sacrifice for sin in human form; that He was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead; that He ascended into heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor
(Jn. 3:16; Mt. 1:18-20; Lk. 1:26-31; I Cor. 15:1-8; Heb. 2:9-18; Phil. 2:5-11; II Tim. 2:5-6).
4. All of humankind has sinned and need repentance which is necessary for the forgiveness of sins
(Ro. 3:22-24; Acts 20:21; II Cor. 7:10; Acts 26: 18-20; Acts 17:30).
5. Salvation from sin is the result of justification, regeneration, new birth, and conversion that is enacted by the Spirit of God through the blood of Jesus at the point of repentance and faith in the work of Christ
(Jn. 1:12-13; Jn. 3:3-6; II Cor. 5:17; Ti. 3:4-7; I Pet. 1:18-25; Col. 1:21; Ro. 3:25-26; Heb. 9:14; I Cor. 6:11; Ro. 8:2; Ro. 8:9-16; Acts 16:30-31).
6. Subsequent to the new birth experience, believers are positionally and progressively sanctified as they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ resulting in sin no longer having dominion over them
(I Pet. 1:15-16; Ro. 6:11-18; II Pet. 3:18; II Pet. 1:1-10; Eph. 4:12-15; I Th. 5:23; I Jn. 2:1-2; Gal. 5:16-26).
7. The baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit are available to all Christians and are to be exercised in decency and order
(Lk. 24:49; Jn. 20:19-23; Acts I:5-8; Acts 2:38-39; Acts 5:32; Acts 2:1-4; Acts 9:17-18; Acts 10:43-48; Acts 19:1-7; I Cor. 12, 13, & 14; Ro. 12:3-8).
8. Water baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit should be by immersion for all who repent and believe as an outward sign of the inward work of salvation
(Mt. 28:19; Acts 10:43-48; Acts 8:26-39; I Cor. 1:15-18; I Pet. 3:20-21).
9. Divine healing is provided for the church and operates according to the sovereign will of God
(Mt. 8:17; Mk 16:18; Jas. 5:14-16; Gal. 6:1-2; I Jn 5:14; I Tim. 5:23).
10. The Holy Communion is to be partaken of by all Christians
(I Cor. 11:23-29; Lk. 22:14-20).
11. The premillennial coming of Jesus preceded by the resurrection of the righteous dead and the catching away (rapture) of the living saints followed by the reign of Christ forever
(I Th. 4:13-18; Ti. 2:13; I Cor. 15:51-55; Mt. 24:21-31; Dan. 7:22; Rev. 19:11-20; Zec. 14:1-9; II Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21:1-22; Rev. 5).
12. In the bodily resurrection eternal life for the righteous and eternal separation from God for the wicked
(Jn. 3:16-17; Ro. 6:23; Mt. 13:49-50; Rev. 20:6-15; Rev. 21:8; Gal. 6:8).
